A Classic Text for the Modern Mariner

Shipboard Bridge Resource Management

by Michael R. Adams

A study of human factors aboard ship.

This peer-reviewed textbook is the first American text on the subject of bridge resource management (BRM). The authors practical explanation of the BRM principles with focus on human factors has led to adoption of the book by maritime academies and training schools and to its use in refresher training by fleets.

The fourth printing (September 2010) presents minor revisions to the original text and marks the fifth year of publication of this useful book which has been translated into a second language by an overseas publisher.

Recommended reading for all members of the bridge watch and the navigation team.
